Giving Mamma Mia! a miss because I saw the making of it on TV, and I think I prefer the musical.
I will always remember how it felt playing ABBA GOLD in public with the band at Arty Party. I saw seniors rocking out on the set. :)) And we were wearing differentcoloured hats and having oodles of fun!
To think I almost came this close to missing out on EVERYTHING. I think I remember camps and rehearsals more vividly than all that chemistry and algebra I learnt. Haha!
No more please. Got to choose my partners/team mates with more thought in the future.
Is it Friday already?! Oh noooooooooooooooo!!!
Fang says the only thing she likes about school is hall. But I don't live in halls. So I think, I like school minus the projects/assignments/quizzes/exams. --------------------------------------------------------------
I'm amazed at how stupid I can get at times. How is it possible that 2 individuals can be so similar in many ways?
Baby Gen (my piano teacher's baby girl) is afraid of helmets so they use it to deter her from crawling to wherever she pleases. Haha! Quite an ingenious idea, no?
Sometimes, I look at mum and dad, and I start to think how I will be like. Is it true, how daughters would eventually end up with husbands whose dispositions/characters are very much like their dads'?
Travelled all the way to JE again, like any other Monday. BUT this time, not to school (for which I'm really glad). p/s: All that Monday blues are non-existent when you're heading to all other places EXCEPT school and work.
Met HL and Stephie for a session of ice-skating today. Their lunch didn't look appetizing at all, especially Stephie's meepok (which was very much similar to what I had at ChompChomp last night). Pale yellow noodles and sparse looking bowls with a big cabbage (or other veg of some sort) are now, for me, a sure-tell sign for non-delicious meepok.
When we got onto the escalator on the way to the rink, we came across a KBOX ad on the board and almost simultaneously, HL and I went, "Eh, can we go K instead?" As we handed our $15.10 over to that lady behind the counter, we were still having second thoughts. Nonetheless, we got through the barrier (the physical one), and got our skates and $3 gloves (which we thought looked like those the durian sellers used). We spent about 15 minutes, I think, just putting on the skates (which weighed quite abit)
And so Stephie had the honour of being our coach for the day, offering FOC lessons. We 2 amateurs really gave her a hard time, and I think we held on so tightly her right arm's aching >.< oh man, so sorry jie. Haha!
When they cordoned off this area for official lessons, we were forced to make our way from one side to the other WITHOUT any railings for support. Guess it did help in a way or two, because I did manage to make it to the other side on my own! Whee~! I was really ecstatic, so nevermind that Stephie said I looked like a penguin walking. The best part was learning how to skate without even falling ;)
The most ironic? Falling AFTER learning how to skate, AND when I got really near to the railing. Must have looked really stupid cuz all around me were people who got the hard knocks falling on their behinds with a loud 'thump' sound or something similar and mine had me holding on to the railings and kneeling right in front of it. =.=
I think we must really be healthy cuz we actually spent 2 hours at the rink, skating, without any jackets. I must stress none of us wore long-sleeved tees or the likes. Must be all that laughing that got us really hyped. Gloves sucked cuz my black skinnies and shirt had all that furball-like thingy all over it, but it served its purpose well having kept my hands really warm and all. HL and Stephie's gloves paled in comparison cuz their palms felt like they've been in the freezer. Haha!
This was the only pic of us we've got today, and it isn't sharp cuz I think HL and I were trying to balance ourselves staying still for this shot. And maybe, our coach was trying to maintain her balance taking it as well! :) She really did gave us a scare cuz she DID lost her balance after this, and nearly fell! Lol. In any case, we were just laughing and laughing and laughing we got so exhausted from all that laughing rather than the skating.
I had so much fun I wouldn't mind doing it again. Uh, but it's quite an expensive sport. Haha. Oh ya, and thanks Stephie! for that strawberry sundae. (I can't keep count of the number of ice-creams I've had in the past month) By the way, I really think you should save that $. Haha!
Cous says new blogskin looks very much like a scrapbook. I'm glad the archives, tagboard and everything else are all still intact. Haha!
I need a change. Better to start with the easier ones like THIS.
When they got me to discuss about monetary issues, it suddenly dawned on me that it is all becoming very real. When your parents lay their cards on the table and ask stuffs like that, it's quite a shock isn't it? Or perhaps, I've been too sheltered all this while. Nonetheless, it was really a moment of awakening (in some way, though I can't specify in what) That said, I don't know if it's a really wise decision they are making at this point in time. But if I do take up Dad's suggestion, I hope he takes good care of his new purchase so that I will be able to use it for an additional 6-7 years max when he really decides to sell it to me. Haha!
Eversince the fujitsu surfaced, my cousins have been messing around with the in-built webcam! Haha. I think the camwhore genes run in the family.
I love having the sisters around :)) Being around them makes me feel young all over again! Haha!
I laughed so much I don't know if that was really me laughing
Yay! Recessrecessrecess. When the lecturers say, "After recess, we'll...", I thought we were really going for a 1 hour recess break like in primary school. Haha!
WallE was GREAT! I actually teared a little when WallE could not recognize Eva after she repaired him. :( I think somehow, I relate quite well to cartoons! Hahaha. There were so many trailers for other upcoming cartoon films, and I'm definitely catching Madagascar 2 :)) though itwouldn't be with the person whom I watched the 1st withAm looking forward to Avenue Q! Btw, it's really weird to hear of proposals and applications for flats and marriages. Need court shoes for alumni day performance. And I want Colbie Calliat's cds.
I'm getting ulcers and the likes. Choir was bad yesterday because we sounded really thin. They said that if they'd prodded the sops with bamboo sticks, we'd all fall. :/
The coming week would be perfect for repaying sleep debts. I'm glad.
Mentally drained, yet the same can't be said of the physical being.
Had subway 2 days in a row, with a total of 3 chocolate chip cookies. Finally met Fang for lunch in school - talked about SARS period 5 years back, MSN, and a whole load of others. The usually-street-smart-Fang actually asked me to order Sub for her, totally unimaginable. She does the ordering each time we're out together, it was never me. Haha!
So after lunch, I went to rot in the reading room with my veryheavy psych tb in tow, and another research tb in my bag. Attempts to do some proper reading turned futile because after a while, it got quite mundane and I could barely keep my eyes open having woke up at 4.30 this morning.
A seat away from me was this couple who had had each other's company for a good 3 hours or so. Just a while before I left for my RP, the girl decided to take a break and laid her head down on the table and slept almost immediately. The guy, very simultaneously, took off his jacket and covered it over her. So sweet :) I sms-ed Yijin what I saw, and she replied "Wah! Very drama scenario. Hahaha. And just now i was reading those horoscope analysis. They say cancer is the type that take off jacket and put on the wife de. Hahahah!" What are the odds of her reading that WHILE I saw that scene? Haha. Oh, and do cancer-ians really do that? Hahaha.
Quiz today was, not very easy, not very very hard as well. I can manage a pass, I hope. It's kinda weird cuz there are 64 qns to a total of 16 marks. That's a quarter of a mark to a qn.
Sometimes, I don't know if what I'm doing is right...how do I do it otherwise?
Should have brought my Psych TB along because I just wasted my time there doing nought. Haiz. She took such a LONGggg time test-driving my mum's car it got bro and me quite pissed.
2 quizzes next week. Horrible!
A gazillion stuffs awaiting - recess week come quick!
Difficile Difficile! Arghz, the gender of the nouns alone is driving me nuts.
Was half awake yesterday morning when making my coffee and I failed to notice the switch wasn't on. I only noticed it when I saw all the coffee powder, sugar and coffeemaid all floating atop the COLD water to the brim of the cup. =.= This smart alec thought microwaving it would help so, I put the cup on a plate and put it into the microwave. The beep went off (after what seemed like an eternity, more so because I was deprived of my daily dose of caffeine) and to my horror, I found the contents of the cup spewed all over - the puddle that was to be my coffee swirling round the plate, leaving my cup 5/6 empty.
Learnt a new song "Cantemus" (Latin for 'let us sing') for last night's practice, and the briefing went on and on about the issues of bonding, attendance and punctuality. It reminded me very much of my days in band.
Last night, along the corridor, Mum: "You know, your dad asked in the car just now what I've given him in these 21 years of marriage." (mum goes up to dad who was infront of us both and taps his shoulder) "I gave you 3 kids. Hahaha! What about you? Huh? What have you given me?" Dad (smiling): "A family."
