people change

Meeting up with my primary school classmates proved to be not too smart a move.
For starters, I can vaguely remember the last time we had more than 10 people around.
The numbers dwindled with each passing year, and it's really a pity.

Nevertheless, amongst 5 others who turned up yesterday, I met 2 whom I haven't seen in about 5 to 6 years.
So, people change. For better or for worse. =s

Lester - His change was appalling. I am not in a position to judge, but, let's just say the change was not that welcoming.
CM - Driven, very driven. Spoke to him a bit, and enquired about this siblings. Still pretty much the same, except you can't help but admire him for his guts and brains. He's gone through quite a bit and I daresay, emerged victorious and much stronger.
SY - She organises the gatherings. Lol. Still sweet and all. Oh, and she promises to plan her programmes better the next gathering~
YY - Looking really fit! That girl's got her black belt in taekwando. Seeing her again was really great =D

That pretty much sums it up. And I secretly regretted wearing that pair of heels ytd. Haha!

(update)

I got a job!
Kind of unexpected cuz hours ago, I just sent in my "resume" (well, Linn thought it was more like a cover letter of a resume), and I got the job!

Now I'm a bit scared.
I'll start work on Monday.
Wish me luck!

初一

It's the same every year, same houses, same faces. Granted that there's been a bit of drama here and there, (that's really no exception, squibbles happen whether or not it's new year), things have been mundane.
BUT, this year, there's been some cam-whoring moments. So here they are:

That's my cousin's son =) CUTE CUTE bloke. Check out that hair! He crashes my Roland keyboard every new year.

my amigos

Look at how much taller the 2 sisters are below:

Pictures scream "shortie!" all the way. The one with the same outfit is 3 years younger than me, and the one in white, 6 years younger. *sighs* Their mum and mine are blood-related sisters, my parents' heights combined are taller than their parents'. So how is it that I end up shorter?!

"That is so baffling...." *grumbles grumbles grumbles*

SH insisted that we took this picture (on left) because we wore the same thing on the first day of Chinese New Year. We both scringed, and literally screamed when we first saw each other.

our bags

i really don't like that black one, haha. mum did, and she borrowed it to bring to work on the 4th day of new year

my nearly 3-inch high heels

I'm so very proud to say that I survived in those. I swore I saw jaws dropped then when I first showed my elders my purchase. Well, I had to make sure I wouldn't look stumpy wearing those dresses...

Hao (the elder of my 2 younger brothers) and Jaaron

Well, that about does it for this post. I just rediscovered why I didn't like doing picture posts. It takes far too long.

Some cheer =D

YAY!
Very much relieved with the exams over and done with. I'll be able to celebrate CNY without any worries (until the release of results that is...)

Past few days have been a terrible nightmare, and very sleep-deprived.
Had a little break for lunch at Sakae the day before the Audit paper, where the salmon sashimi helped with "de-stressing".
Bamboo poles have gone missing and I was sent to go retrieve them. It was REALLY embarrassing, especially so because the one that I had to go retrieve had _____ hanging off them. Gramps was largely amused because I asked for a plastic bag so that the laundry hanging off the pole would not be visible to all. The whole incident was just hilarious and Gramps concluded that I must have ran all the way back home to avoid being seen with the pole and laundry. Lol.

With the conclusion of our last paper, we proceeded to Cine for "Ghost Rider". It's a really nice show, and I loved the twist. Although there were a few scares here and there, it's still worth the $7.50. The system BOOMED throughout and we were left deaf for a while after the movie. Lunch was late at 3+p.m, at Sakae again, and I had salmon sushi and ikat! =D Yummylicious!
Crazy SJ was feeling rich, and decided to give us all a treat at Sakae, much to our horror. And a chase ensued as we tried to stuff our share of payment back to her. -faints-

So now that I have loads of free time, I plan to:
1) study for BTT (22nd Feb), and if possible, try to clock in as many hours for practice during the holidays
2) try to finish up as much of my Conan as possible (I have about 50 odd of it and am stuck at the 11th)
3) resume piano, and see if I am able to/well-prepared to take G7.
4) resume SPU prac (cuz exam break applied for expires end of Feb)
5) revise Jap (when I feel less lazy)
6) get better at Sudoku
7) get down to some reading
8) watch vcds
9) get a job (highly unlikely cuz of plans 3 and 4)

Well, list's not exhaustible. =)
Time to catch up on some decent sleep!

better fengshui?

Pretty careless, but what's done can't be undone.

Taking a paper outside school doesn't mean "better fengshui". Haha.
Back to work.

the foul-tempered.

current status : a bit of madness and feeling slightly irritated.

I absolutely hate it when people start yelling at each other, and people go BANG!BANG!BANG! on the door for no good reason.

It's genetic - bad tempers run in the family.

UGH.

When anxiety strikes, full force.

Last nights was one of the worsts ever.

Got chased off to bed at 11.30p.m in view of my paper at 9a.m the following morning.
But, I couldn't sleep. Questions and doubts raced through my mind once my head hit the sack, and it got so bad my heart raced as well.
When it got to 12.30a.m, I thought I'd be able to sleep (I'd only needed 1 hour to get to sleep prior to yesterday).

So last night was a real torture : I finally slept at near to 3a.m, which meant I had about 3.5 hours of sleep.

Fortunately (and weirdly,), I didn't feel the least bit tired before and during the paper.
It was until I got home after the paper that my head started to ache real bad.
And it's still aching now, so I think I should try some decent sleep tonight.

before IT starts

We held on so tight, we forgot what it felt like letting go.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My right shoulder hurts like hell. 2 days of practising speed-writing must have done it.
People practise for a marathon, well, we too - A different kind of marathon that is.

Marathon participants pray that the body cramps and all that things that can impede them from reaching their goals DISAPPEAR into nothingness.
I'll pray VERY hard that I don't get some blockage of any sort, and that ALL WILL BE WELL.

I don't know why, but my heart beats super fast everytime the papers are given out.
And my mind's boggled up.

Does it happen to you too? Or am I just really paranoid about exams?

The ties that bind | broken nail | terry | roach

You know you can always count on family. (",)

The stayover was fun. It kept my cousins up much later in the night. We had pillow fights and all that crazy stuff.
I had one sleeping on each side on the bed and somewhere in the middle of the night, a vicks inhaler or a small pillow will drop on their heads. Haha. And we finally have a picture of our 3 chow-chows.

Am looking forward to another stayover.

Monday night -
Broke my nail. Half of it. It bled. I hope it gets better soon enough so that I can wear those heels for CNY. Darn.

Last night -
Watched this half-hour talkshow on Channel 8. A lot can change in 5 years. Just look at that boy who played Terry in I Not Stupid. He looks TOTALLY different now. And YL used to joke that Jason's a Terry-lookalike.
I saw another roach in the kitchen. It stayed there for a while and I scrambled to find a slipper to hit it with. Then it disappeared into this small gap somewhere, leaving behind in its place its shit (not unlike that of the lizard's).
Yikes.

p/s p/s p/s : I want not that e-mail and letter.

Happy b'day FANG!
I happily sms-ed her, asking her to get a bf and her driver's licence soon, so that the next time we hung out together, she'd be able to drive me =D
Smartass her decided to kill 2 birds with one stone and counter-suggested that she'd find a bf who drives. =.=
I replied that by doing so, it'd be missing the whole point of asking HER to drive.
Haha, whatever.

SO, Jap's a goner.
shits.
shits.
shits.

I don't want anything in my inbox/ letterbox.
For NOW, no news is BRILLIANT news.
