Because some things people say, can make you feel very happy and flattered.

And sometimes, I hang on to those like a complete fool. Just for a little while more...

Yesterday

I always thought my voice sounded somewhat different over the system. I thought my voice was deep. I don't know why. I didn't think that I had a high-pitched voice. Therefore, it was indeed baffling when people mimicked my apparently "high-pitched" voice. And over the phone, they go, "eh, you sound different over the phone..." When we were made to do voice recordings using casette recorders for playback as practice for O's English oral examination, it was like, "shriek! is that me?!"

Met up with HY yesterday to pass him 14 dvds/vcds. Darn it was heavy! If you're reading this, I'm telling you, you'd better watch every one of that lot. I lugged it all the way from hougang to Dhoby Ghaut. Haha. Due to some miscommunication, I expected him to be waiting at the NEL station instead of the NSL's. If I'd known, I would have taken the NSL. =s

He was late, I was later. I ended up latest and rushed over to Cine to meet the girls. First thing Sher said to me when I met them? "Soonie, please don't laugh at my pregnant wear..." Tell me how not to! I almost choked on my chicken rice when SJ told me her brother's coming. Well, though it took me a while to register what she meant by "coming", but ya. Horrors.
System sucked. And mic sucked, because the cable connecting the mic to the system sucked. Stephie sieved through those nuts in search for some brown nut; I was just happy to see those twisties. We had this "praying stuff" going on (those where you try to make a stick to fall out or sth) and I dropped a few nuts on the floor, which we later crushed unintentionally. It made the room look a little messy though. The first beverage, some honey plus ___(?) tea was so sweet I seriously suspect I might get decays after a cup. The second, rose tea, tasted kind of funny. I scooped out all the roses before drinking and left them swimming in a puddle of tea on the platter. Which explains why whenever I lift my cup up, I got some rose tea on my jeans.

We didn't dance, though we stood. I thought SJ's brother had a unique voice. Haha. Sher said it sounded a little like Jacky Cheung, was it? He didn't jump on the couches like SJ said he would sometimes. Guess we were all just being nice people and exercising some restraint. Haha. Heck, we didn't even know his name!

After we parted ways with SJ and her brother, I thought of my earrings, cuz' it seemed kinda quiet without the jingles. =x (Yes, they said they could hear my earrings jingling before they see me)

So that was it for KBox.

SELF-SELECT TIMETABLING SUCKS.
What was supposed to be a joyful little affair of having to choose your own timetables turns out to be less-than-joyitty-joy.

So ya, 4 are in 06 and another 2 in o9. And I know Cinderelli's pretty upset over it
-sayangsayang-
And I know with all that -IHATECLOUDY!- thingy going on, BY will survive amidst all that screaming and yelling.

Don't fret girls~
we can still meet up for lunches, movies, lectures, and there's the IS module too!!!
-crossfingersandprayfervently-

Lucky thing for most days, we end at the same time,, so there're still the bus rides home =))

The HK trip's a bit too much to talk about. And I'm lazy, so I share spare you all the mundane details.
Something note-worthy: I spent within my means. They were surprised I bought so little on this trip. =)

Out with the girls for sushi and movie "Devil Wears Prada". While it was thumbs up for the movie, the food was just, bad. I still prefer Sakae.
Bro says the earrings and the hair made me look kinda gothic, and act-cute like the other girls who file the streets of Orchard Road. He even asked if I used eyeliner or something. I swore I didn't do anything to my eyes at all.
Ya, he also stared at my knee-length bottoms and went, "Huh, you wear that kind of pants one meh?"

"can don't so act-cute or not?"
"ya, whatever. just shuddup."

updates

4.9 / 6.9
Back to school for briefing. Pre-trip research was nasty. Sorta similar to the FIT project which we did earlier this semester. Nightmare. Made new friends.

7.9
Went bowling with my brothers and mum. Too many gutter-balls I lost count. chippped the nail on the thumb. slight improvement towards the last few games, got a little hooked.
I'm easily hooked on to new stuff =)
got home and started packing. scraped my hand against the corner of my shelves. blood. swollen. the super sticky plaster hurt more than the injury.

8.9 (today)
out with Linn to exchange $. got a chance to see how it's like at Raffles Place during lunch hours.
lunch-ed at Long John's again, at the same seat. Heeren to collect bro's cd, and window-shopping. So many things I'd like to get. But I curbed the impulse in view of the trip =)
3 more days...

some things are just better left unread, unheard, unsaid. ignorance can be blissful.

KBOX KBOX KBOX

1.9

Met up with the girls yesterday for lunch, kbox and dinner.
Was running late as usual, and first thing that greeted me when I found them were grins and smothered giggles. Darn that couple wear. The colour was not even close! Half-infuriated, yet amazed at the little things one can nit and pick at to find fault with and laugh at. Haha...

Everyone had fillet burgers from Mac's for lunch, and soonafter, we proceeded to KBox! Ain't too sure what the one behind the counter told us, left it to the others to make the decision. Horrors when we were led all the way in to this rectangular room. Hated the shape of the room, and I missed the pretty lights we had on our previous session. SJ started the ball rolling with Superwoman (she's fanatic about KBox recently) and subsequently, the rest of us picked our songs. When Sher picks her songs, it's like 5 or 6 songs in a row, and she'll start complaining. Lol. Nvm, I'm sure the rest of the girls won't mind her singing continuously. Pleasant, nice and melodious. =D Stephie almost skipped singing JJ's, owing to a comment of mine days before the session. But she finally relented, and got SJ to sing along. =) Lainee's song choices were all english and she went crazy everytime Nicky appeared somewhere (she had this "let me point out Nicky to you" thingy going on which was so entertaining to watch =D. A mini war broke out between her and BY, who insisted Shane was more handsome. Oh, and Lainee let out a little scream when Nicky shaved his head in "queen of my heart". That was downright LMAO.
It was hell getting BY to even sing for us. She refused us flatly, and mumbled or whispered into the mike! Arghz. It didn't even sound out of tune or anything. why couldn't you just SING?!
Everyone got really eccentric at "shan hu hai", it was just insane! Lainee was just waiting pretty patiently for an answer as she stood beside the tv with small head on the line, and none was calm enough to even throw her a "yes"/"no" answer.
When the song ended eventually, we swore never to pick that song ever again.

All in all, it had been fun =))

Headed to Suntec for dinner where BY just ran loose amongst those vending machines. Not really sure how many capsules she brought home, but my guess is more than 3.
Dinner was xiao guo mien and ban mien. Xiao guo mien was damn spicy. Good thing my lips didn't get really swollen or anything, else I'd been too embarrassed to get home.
