So, I did get some stupid sms in the end, which I promptly sent out to some 5 other people.
I almost got pranked.
Subsequently, I received 2 calls, which was ultimately what people who got fooled would do. It wasn't all that bad, cuz I heard from 2 juniors whom I haven't met in a while.
Just a week before my last day at work, this new CRE (customers relation executive) came in and I really thought he bore some uncanny resemblance to Kengz. Employee turnover's really high at where I worked - you hear of people leaving and see some new faces every other day.
Last day at work was my busiest at work too.
Seeing how Gd Fri was a P.H., work stacked up, and I had 4 stacks of work waiting to be cleared instead of the usual 3.
My leaving wasn't all that big an affair, (seeing how I was almost a nobody, haha).
I didn't give a piece of cake to everyone I knew (unlike him); no one except for those whom I worked closely with knew I was leaving (unlike him - I still remember on his last day, almost everyone whom he walked past gave him a handshake of some sort, and wished him well at NS, haha).
Nonetheless, a lunch treat at Country Manna, one firm handshake and 3 sincere "thanks for your help" would suffice. =)
I hope they liked the chocolates.
Sunday was girls' day out at Escape.
We had a back-up plan to go bowl instead (something which SB and I looked forward to more than escape -.-), because the weather forecast said something along the lines of "a rain" and "a thunderstorm", well, according to Linn that is.
Don't know if we were lucky, but we had fairly good weather, lest for a slight drizzle, which lasted for about 15 min or so.
We arrived a quarter past noon, and stayed on till 7 + in the evening.
Rested for lunch at BK's, and resumed taking rides.
Good thing the BK chicken and coke didn't find its way up my throat. I surprised myself.
So, we went on all the rides, except for one that was under maintainence, and 2 others which I was too scared to go on.
But hell, we took the viking and rainbow rides over and over and over again, I think the operators recognised us. On impulse at times, we'd just stay put in our seats for 3 consecutive rides. We also discovered later that after a wet 15 metres plunge down this water slide which left us wet, 2 times on the viking ride would help dry your hair and clothes a tat bit faster. ;)
Once, we had this other group of 7 join us on the viker's, they had 2 girls on our side, and the other 5 guys on the opposite. This one guy who looked sick and was about to puke, sat directly opposite me, and his friends called out for me to duck just in case I saw vomit flying in my direction midway through the ride. It was hilarious!
A screaming competition soon ensued between the 2 genders, and while my friends screamed to help the 2 miserable girls, I laughed till my sides ached, and didn't do anything. It was really a scene, and I swear people stared.
Finally after 2 rides, and a couple of sore throats, the operator told the guys, "You screamed like girls!!!"
And no, I didn't see any yicky stuff flying; he couldn't really walk straight though.
My favourite was the go-kart. =D
Love the speed.
BUT, the queue wasn't fun.
It's been a really long post.
random: I WANT A HAIRCUT!
and congrats to XMSB for a GOLD!
