Naruwan I
Day 1 - 西门町
Very much like an orchard road of some sort. Not exactly rowdy cuz it's less appealing than before I think. Lots of people who were dressed in all kinds of weird clothes. Behind me's the spot where people go up and perform and stuff. Might have seen it on tv before.
Tried this meesua like food which was pretty tasty. No tables, no chairs, you just had to stand around and eat.
Day 2 - 九份
Guide (2nd from right) is a knowledgeable woman who's a jane of all trades. She has a bag full of medicines, you name it, she's got it. Humorous lady with a mind of her own. Very experienced and quite a somebody.
Chiufen's the actual filming site of 伤城. Nestled against the mountains and hemmed in by the sea, it's an old town rich in decorative old teahouses and Japanese-style homes lined by traditional long lanes.
Shop sells small yam tangyuans in different colours with a mix of red bean, green bean and i-forgot-what soup.
On the bus to Rueifang station,
Look FANG!
Guide bought 便当s for us to fill our hungry stomachs on the train. Long long journey of 2 hours before we reached hualien.
I was getting abit bored you see.
Then I suddenly remembered our poor coach driver who had to drive for 4 hours straight to pick us up at our destination to take us to Taroko Gorge and I stopped pouting.
Would you just look at that?! It's scary when the coach goes up the mountain roads...
I'll tell you more =)
